Semarang, April 25, 2025 – The Department of Geodetic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University held the 178th Graduation Assessment on Friday, April 25, 2025. The ceremony was led directly by the Head of the Department – Dr. L. M. Sabri, S.T., M.T. This assessment was attended by 15 students from the class of 2021 who completed their studies in less than 4 years, and 11 students from the class of 2020. An outstanding achievement that reflects the Department’s commitment to graduating students as promptly as possible while maintaining accountable quality.

The Head of the Department began his speech by expressing deep sorrow over the passing of a 2021 student – Khotimatun Aisyah – and a 2008 alumna – Nila Hapsari Nawangwulan – just a few hours before the yudisium began. Despite being shrouded in grief, the ceremony proceeded with solemnity and respect. The Head of the Department delivered joyful news as beautiful gifts this April: The Undergraduate Program in Geodetic Engineering has officially received international accreditation from IABEE through 2027 and national accreditation with the highest rating, “UNGGUL”, from LAM TEKNIK. A remarkable achievement considering the relatively limited resources and infrastructure. He specifically expressed deep gratitude to the faculty and university leadership, appreciation for the hard work of lecturers and staff, and recognition of the students’ perseverance and patience in completing their education. He emphasized the importance of valuing time and consistently doing good.

During the message and impression session, Mr. Andri Suprayogi, S.T., M.T., conveyed his admiration for the determination of the 2021 students who graduated in under 4 years. Dr. Bambang Darmo Yuwono, S.T., M.T., as the Head of the Quality Assurance Unit, reminded the prospective graduates not to forget their alma mater and to help their juniors. Completing the session, Dr. Firman Hadi, S.Si, M.Si, advised the students to embody three key principles: Be Responsible, Be Confident, Be Kind. May the future alumni uphold responsibility, carry out their duties with confidence, and always spread kindness wherever and whenever they are.
