In today’s digital era, searching for information is very easy to do, for example seeking information about the latest technological developments. Visiting the University is an effective way to find out the technological development of a science in this matter regarding the field of Geospatial Information. This is what underlies the SMK N 1 Lumajang Geomatics Engineering Department visiting Diponegoro University (UNDIP) on September 4, 2018.

The event took place at the 3rd floor Dean Building attended by students and teachers of SMK N 1 Lumajang, Department of Geomatics Engineering. The event was opened by a speech from Dr. Yudo Prasetyo, ST., MT as Chair of the Department of Geodetic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University. He gave an overview of the Geodesy Technique of the Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University to the participants. The next activity was giving motivation by Nurhadi Bashit, ST., M.Eng who is an alumni of Vocational High School who is currently a Lecturer in Geodesy Engineering. Furthermore, the activity continued with the introduction of survey and mapping equipment on the Geodesy Engineering Campus.

The introduction of the Campus Geodesy Technique consists of two sessions. The first session was the introduction of the Diponegoro University Geodesy Technique towards students of SMK 1 Lumajang conducted by the lecturer in Geodesy Engineering at Diponegoro University. This introduction includes the facilities and infrastructure available in the Geodesy Technique of Diponegoro University. This introduction was also accompanied by a visit to the Laboratory of Measurement and Mapping, Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, and Cadastral Mapping and Measurement.
